1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of https://techguard.ng (the “Site”) and any purchase of products from TechGuard, a brand operated by GSS Security (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract under Nigerian law to place an order with us.
3. Products and orders
Product descriptions, specifications and pricing on the Site are provided for information and may change without notice. Final pricing, availability and installation terms are confirmed at the point of order via WhatsApp, phone or email.
An order is accepted only once we issue a written confirmation (which may be delivered via WhatsApp or email). Until then, we may decline an order for any lawful reason.
4. Payment
Prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise. Payment terms are communicated at order confirmation. We may require full or partial payment before delivery or installation. We accept payment through licensed Nigerian payment processors; we do not store card details.
5. Delivery and installation
Delivery timelines are estimates and depend on product availability, your location and site readiness. For products that require professional installation (cameras, vehicle trackers, solar lights), our field team will schedule installation after you confirm the site is ready.
You are responsible for ensuring reasonable access, power (where required) and any permissions needed for installation at the installation address.
6. Warranty
TechGuard products carry a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Standard warranty period is twelve (12) months from date of installation unless a longer period is stated for specific products. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorised modification, power surges outside published tolerances, or acts of God.
To make a warranty claim, contact us with your order reference and a description of the issue. We may require inspection of the product before authorising repair or replacement.
7. Returns
Products may be returned in unused, original-packaged condition within seven (7) days of delivery for a refund or exchange, minus any delivery or installation fees already incurred. Products that have been installed, modified or configured cannot be returned except under warranty.
8. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.
- Interfere with the operation of the Site or its security features.
- Scrape, copy or redistribute Site content without permission.
- Misrepresent yourself or impersonate another person.
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Site, including the TechGuard name, logo, product photography, copy and design, is owned by GSS Security or its licensors and is protected under Nigerian and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute it without our written permission.
10. Third-party services
Our products use third-party platforms including Tuya Smart for device control and connectivity. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes to those third-party services, though we will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to customers.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Site or your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including loss of profits, data or goodwill.
TechGuard products are security aids, not guarantees. No security system can prevent every possible incident. We do not warrant that our products will detect, deter or prevent any specific incident.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold GSS Security harmless from any claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, with venue in the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja).
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify customers through appropriate channels.
